On 05.07. and 06.07.2022 the international bearing forum BEARING WORLD took place in the idyllic and culturally rich Würzburg. Around 200 participants from Belgium, France, Germany, Great Britain, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain and Sweden entered into dialogue with 21 exhibitors on these two days – including the organizer FVA GmbH and the sponsors of the congress Schaeffler Technologies, SKF Group and FUCHS LUBRICANTS GERMANY.
Prof. Gerhard Poll from Leibniz University Hannover and Christian Kunze from Research Association for Drive Technology opened BEARING WORLD. Dr. Michael Pausch from Schaeffler Technologies, Andrew Bell from SKF Group and Dr. Matthias Schweinsberg from FUCHS LUBRICANTS GERMANY kicked off the event with their keynotes, moderated by Prof. Bernd Sauer from the Technical University of Kaiserslautern.
In addition to a large international audience and engaging discussions, the conference offered a scientific program at the highest level to promote knowledge building and experience exchange between research and industry. About 40 top-class speakers from industry and leading research institutes gave insights into the topics Electrical phenomena in bearing operation, Rolling element bearing lubrication, Life and durability, Hydrodynamic plain bearings, Energy efficiency and lubrication, Challenges in bearing applications and manufacturing, Bearing damage mechanisms and detection and Bearings in wind turbines.
After the successful conference, all participants and anyone interested can already look forward to the next BEARING WORLD in 2024.
